Shaun Roach started Roach Home Improvement 16 years ago as a subcontractor working out of his home office and garage. During that time, he was working for general contractors and there were some instances where materials were not right for the job or they didn’t show up on time. The tipping point was when he was asked to cut corners to speed things up so he could get to another job that the general contractor was behind on. That is when Shaun kicked off a small advertising campaign to start working with homeowners directly to ensure that they got the right materials and a quality roofing job done right with the service they paid for. The business took off and some additional help was needed. Shaun made the call to his uncle, and Terry Roach entered the picture. First in 2011 as a consulting partner, then full time in the summer of 2012. With quality workmanship and service, Roach Home Improvement was outgrowing home offices, so Shaun Roach bought and converted the building at 901 Capital Avenue on January 20, 2014 into the present office. With customer satisfaction, Roach Home Improvement was still growing. Roach Home Improvement bought an adjacent property and built a warehouse for more material and tool storage so the crews could be better prepared to stay on schedule.
